Without being able to see the specific item in question, it is difficult to definitively say whether it is hematite. Hematite is a metallic gray or black mineral that often has a reddish-brown streak. It is commonly used in jewelry and has a distinctive metallic luster. If the item in question matches these characteristics, it is likely hematite, but it would be best to have it examined by a professional to confirm. **

They are designed to provide comfort, durability, and functionality for outdoor activities, making them popular among those who engage in hiking, trekking, camping, and other outdoor adventures. When you wash hematite with water, the surface of the mineral may become cleaner as any dirt or debris is removed. However, the water can also cause the iron oxide in hematite to oxidize further, potentially changing the color of the mineral. Additionally, the natural luster of hematite may be lost as the water washes away any surface coatings or patinas that contribute to its metallic sheen. **
